What happens when you want a workhorse yarn but one that is soft and buttery? Can a yarn be both strong and soft at the same time and last? Walcot Yarns is the answer to these questions. Our goal at Walcot Yarns is to produce luxurious yarns and fabulous patterns for knitters and crocheters alike – because we’re makers too. Creating indulgent fibres blends made to knit, wear and love. Started in the heart of the Artisan Quarter of beautiful Bath, UK, our brand gets its name from the street where our story began, Walcot Street. Our Sigurature base Opus is a lush spin of Falkland Merino and Baby Alpaca. Opus is a lofty Sport weight yarn perfect for both garments and accessories. A super soft handle, more similar to cashmere than your typical merino/ alpaca blend, this is both a luxurious and hardwearing yarn. This year we plan to expand our Opus range with the addition of new colours and a new worsted weight yarn – super soft and perfect for sweaters!
